Murchison Falls National Park is the largest park in Uganda,
covering over 4000 sq. km since the inclusion of the adjoining game reserve. It is one of the most spectacular parks
in Africa, renowned for its scenic beauty and the spectacular falls on the River Nile from which it gets its
name.
It has abundant flora and fauna to delight the visitor, and an amazing variety of different kinds of birds.
Animals which roam the park include lions, elephants, giraffes, chimpanzees, buffalo.
The Nile below the falls has crocodile, elephants and hippos, which can often been seen from a river boat cruise or even from the windows of the luxury safari lodge where you would be staying.
From rolling savannah and tall grasslands to thick bush and woodlands, the diversity of this park never ceases to amaze visitors and residents alike. It is 300 km from Kampala, approx. 5 to 6 hours drive.
These will be provided using a 4 wheel drive Toyota Hiace, with a driver guide, at a cost of £100 (300,000 Ugandan shillings) per day, and can take up to six passengers.
